Dr. Rolf Merte appointed CEO of elexis AG

Born in Marburg, Dr. Rolf Merte completed his studies in theoretical electrical engineering at the Technical University of Berlin. He devoted several years to research in the field of particle accelerators at CERN, SLAC in Stanford and in Berlin, among others, before joining the research centre of ABB AG in Heidelberg as project manager.

He subsequently held various management positions in international and world-leading technology companies: Head of Development at BERU AG, later BorgWarner, as Chief Technical Officer at Trumpf-Hüttinger, as Division Manager at SMA Solar Technology AG and as Chief Technology Officer at the sensor and measuring equipment manufacturer Testo AG. Most recently, he was CEO of the listed Schweizer Electronic AG. He was also Managing Director of several European and Asian subsidiaries.
