Appropriate actions and conduct of every employee are the precondition for this. The Code of Conduct specifies general requirements which shall provide standards and orientation for our daily work and thus contribute to strengthening our company's reputation. The Code of Conduct is valid worldwide and binding for all employees of the SMS group.

Respecting and complying with the law, regulations and internal company rules is a basic foundation that allows our business partners and the public to place their trust in our group of companies. To ensure this, it is crucial that any regulatory breaches are identified, clarified and remedied internally at an early stage. You can assist in this process by contacting your superiors or the Compliance department in confidence if you suspect any violations.
In addition, from October we will offer you, along with our customers, suppliers and other business partners, a secure whistleblower portal to alert the group to potential breaches of compliance. The whistleblower portal is a tried-and-tested tool used in many economic sectors and industries. It serves to improve and professionalize our Compliance Management System and as a means to implement legal requirements.
